The Tire Industry Association (TIA) will host its first ever "Go Green Symposium" Oct. 1-2, 2010, in Ocean City, Md., TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield announced earlier today during the 2010 OTR Tire Conference.
The event will discuss scrap tire disposal, used oil disposal, superfund sites and other environmental issues that impact independent tire dealers, he told conference attendees. (The OTR Tire Conference, held in Tucson, Ariz., runs through Feb. 20.)
"We have dealers in superfund sites in more than 30 states," said Littlefield.
