SEMA Show, Day Two: Hankook unveils all-season Optimo H724

Nov. 4, 2009

Hankook Tire America Corp. is using this week's Specialty Equipment Market Association Show as a forum to display its new Optimo H724 all-season passenger tire, which will be available in 38 sizes during the first quarter of 2010.

"The Optimo H724 delivers performance benefits such as improved handling, noise control and a comfortable ride at a competitive price that today's value-conscious consumers will appreciate," say Hankook officials.

The tire has been developed using Hankook's Kontrol Technology, "with improved durability that allows it to last for a longer period of time. This is achieved through a new carcass construction and wear-resistant tread compound designed to improve longevity."

Specific design elements include a center rib block for enhanced handling; a jointless full cover, which improves brake performance; a single-strand bead wire; and others.

Sizes will range from 13 inches to 17 inches, note Hankook officials.
