Community Wholesale supports tornado relief efforts in Missouri

Community Wholesale Tire Inc. is making a contribution to the Joplin Chamber Business Recovery Fund following the the devastation caused by a tornado in Joplin, Mo., on May 22, 2011. The company has warehouses in Hazelwood and Kansas City, Mo.

"Community Wholesale Tire will contribute 3% of the total combined purchases of our Joplin tire dealers for the entire year," says President Phil Berra. "The estimated total donation for 2011 is expected to be approximately $20,000. There is no cap on the 3% of purchases contribution.

Berra says the contribution will represent the company's profit on the sales in the Joplin market for 2011.

"Our company believes that rebuilding the business community is vital because of the jobs and services these businesses provide for the people of Joplin."

Community Wholesale Tire will send a check for $10,000 to the Joplin Chamber Business Recovery Fund immediately. Additional contributions, based on actual dealer purchases, will be sent in October and December.
