Maxxis Has a New Extreme Summer Tire for Victra UHP Line

Maxxis International has added the Victra VR-1, an extreme summer tire, to its Victra line of ultra high performance tires.

The VR-1 features a compound that warms to operating temperature quickly and provides tenacious dry traction on the street or in competition, according to Maxxis.

The company says the VR-1's compound heat-cycles well, ensuring great speed for the life of the tire. The new pattern was designed to maximize dry performance while minimizing white-knuckle moments in wet weather. The reinforced casing design provides almost telepathic responses, allowing the driver to put the car where it needs to be.

The VR-1 is rated at UTQG 200 AA A except for 295/40R18 (140 AA A). It is available in the following sizes:

• 205/55ZR16
• 255/40ZR17
• 245/40ZR18
• 265/35ZR18
• 295/40ZR18
