ATD’s 30 Largest Creditors in 2024

Oct. 23, 2024

The bankruptcy filing for American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD) indicates the 30 creditors with the largest claims against ATD includes the biggest tiremakers in the world and not surprisingly, the biggest in the U.S. market.

The court filing lists these creditors and the total amount of their unsecured claims. (Company names are listed below as documented in the filings.)

Total amount owed to those top 30 creditors: $612,684,340.22

ATD's Assets and Liabilities

In ATD’s petition seeking bankruptcy, the company is asked to provide some general parameters that define the size of the case.

Estimated number of creditors: 50,001-100,000. (The company had 10 number ranges to choose from, and chose the second-highest option.) Interestingly, in 2018 when the company filed for bankruptcy, ATD said it had in the range of 200-999 creditors.

Estimated assets: $1,000,000,001-$10 billion

Estimated liabilities: $1,000,000,001-$10 billion

(ATD estimated both its assets and liabilities in those same ranges in 2018.)
