    OK Tire Franchisees Open Ninth Store

    OK Tire franchisees Michael Coggins and Brent MacNeil recently opened their ninth OK Tire store, a location in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

    The store sells passenger, light truck, lawn and garden and utility tires and carries the Bridgestone, Blackhawk, Cooper, Gislaved and Toyo brands. The outlet also provides a full range of auto service, including oil changes, suspension work, alignments and more.

    A grand opening event took place on July 16. It was attended by OK Tire President and CEO Jim Bethune.

    There are more than 325 independently owned OK Tire locations across Canada.

    “I think overall end user demand has been consistent with previous years, but as always, the devil is in the details,” says Stan Chandgie, chief operating officer and executive vice president of sales, Yokohama Tire Corp. “The economy, particularly the current state of inflation and the subsequent high prices on the entire basket of goods, is definitely having an impact on the consumer.”
