Vredestein brand tires are now available at Canadian Tire's 500 stores, starting with the Vredestein Hypertrac, an ultra-high performance (UHP) all-season product.
"In 2021, Vredestein made its entry into the key North American market with the launch of its comprehensive lineup of premium tires for passenger cars and light trucks," say officials from Apollo Tyres Ltd., Vredestein's parent company.
"The Vredestein lineup, painstakingly developed in North America to deliver outstanding performance throughout the continent’s mix of road surfaces and climate conditions, offers a premium aftermarket tire solution for drivers regardless of where they live or what vehicle they drive daily.
"Vredestein’s U.S. launch has been a resounding success, highlighted by superb results in independent third-party tests and enthusiastic feedback from the customers who have chosen the brand. Armed with the lessons of the U.S.-market launch, Vredestein expands its footprint in the North American region by partnering with Canadian Tire to bring the brand to Canada.
"As a premium brand with a rich European history, it was important that Vredestein work with a partner like Canadian Tire, which has a sophisticated understanding of both the regional market and the brand’s diverse tire lineup."
“It is a privilege to work with Canadian Tire as we launch Vredestein across Canada,” said Abhishek Bisht, assistant vice president, Americas. “They are the perfect partner, with over 100 years of providing trusted service to Canadian consumers, (and) they are ideally positioned to help introduce new customers to Vredestein’s family of premium tires."
According to Apollo officials, the Vredestein Hypertrac "embodies the next-generation engineering and thoughtful development that informs Vredestein’s entire North American lineup.
"North America, as a region, offers incredible climate diversity, yet a large portion of the continent experiences precipitation year-round. Hypertrac is designed for this substantial driving population - delivering the agility and handling precision that customers demand of a UHP tire, while engineering key features that elevate its wet-weather performance, including a tread design that optimizes water evacuation and a tread compound designed to enhance wet grip without ever compromising dry performance."
