American Tire Distributors Inc.’s (ATD) Hercules brand announced the launch of its revamped Raptis series, featuring Raptis R-T6 and Raptis R-T6X.
These ultra high-performance tires are for the all-season market and succeed the previous Raptis R-T5.

Key features and advancements in the Raptis R-T6 and Raptis R-T6X include increased tire life from a temperature control system that dissipates heat to prevent breakdown; dry grip performance, with an enlarged contact patch to improve tread life; improved traction for wet conditions and winter weather; brake control with 3D sipes for greater control and tighter cornering; and a stylish design of an asymmetrical tread pattern.
According to Hercules officials, the Raptis R-T6 has a traction grading of 500 AA A UTQG rating and accommodates rim diameters from 16" to 20". For Crossover CUVs, the Raptis R-T6X has a 600 A A UTQG rating and compatibility with rim diameters of 19" to 20".
The Raptis series is backed by the Hercules Performance Promise warranty, offering up to 60,000 miles of treadwear coverage, Road Hazard protection, a "Trust our Ride" 45-day trial and a protection policy for workmanship and materials.
