Mavis Tire Express Services Corp. has taken the wheel as a NASCAR Cup Series sponsor this season, with Denny Hamlin’s No. 11 Toyota Camry carrying the Mavis brand colors.
Thanks to its acquisition this year of TBC Corp.’s 595 NTB Service Centers and Tire Kingdom Service Centers locations, Mavis has taken over the top spot as the nation’s largest independent tire dealer, according to the MTD 100.
Joe Gibbs Racing signed Mavis as a new sponsor of Hamlin's team for five races, beginning in July at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, then at Pocono Raceway, Richmond Raceway, Michigan International Speedway and finally at Watkins Glen International on Aug. 20.
Hamlin is in second place in the Cup Series following a second place finish at Watkins Glen.
“It is an incredible honor to team up with NASCAR, the largest spectator sport in America, and Joe Gibbs Racing with Denny Hamlin,” said David Sorbaro, Mavis co-CEO. “This union is a perfect fit – as the largest independent tire and vehicle service in the U.S., we are thrilled at the possibilities our partnership can bring.”
“Mavis was founded on value, excellent customer service and family,” said Stephen Sorbaro, Mavis co-CEO. “This is an exciting partnership that complements our dedication to the automotive industry and our connection to communities and neighborhoods around the country. We look forward to a great season with our customers and the Mavis family cheering on No. 11 for a win.”
