Chapel Hill Tire has announced its partnership with the North Carolina Triangle Apprenticeship Program (NCTAP), an initiative designed to help the next generation of automotive workers.
The NCTAP program starts from 11th to 12th grade and spans four years with academic learning and hands-on training.
Participants will work towards and associate degree at a local community college and gain paid on-the-job experience at Chapel Hill Tire’s facilities.
“We are thrilled to be a part of NCTAP’s vision of shaping the future workforce,” says Marc Pons, president of Chapel Hill Tire.
“This program is a perfect embodiment of our commitment to nurturing young talent and preparing them for successful careers in the automotive industry.”
Chapel Hill Tire held NCTAP facility tours at its Apex N.C. location on Jan. 13, 27 and Feb. 10. The company hosted over 20 students across three weekends of open house tours and letting students and parents learn more about apprenticeships.
This initiative is a part of Chapel Hill Tire's ongoing commitment to community engagement and education in the automotive sector, according to Chapel Hill Tire officials.
