VIP Moves Into Connecticut

March 1, 2024

VIP Inc. dba VIP Tires & Service has expanded into its fifth state — Connecticut — with the acquisition of Joe's Tire Shop in Waterbury, Conn.

The deal gives VIP 70 locations throughout New England.

Joe's Tire Shop has been in operation for more than 95 years. Owner Rich DiBeneditto says he chose to sell to VIP because of its "family feel and dedication to excellence." DiBeneditto and his entire team will join VIP, and VIP is also training other ASE-certified technicians from some of its other locations to join the team in Waterbury.

“State by state, VIP has become a household name in New England, and we couldn’t be more excited to enter the Connecticut market,” said Tim Winkeler, president and CEO of VIP. “Honoring the nearly 100-year legacy of Joe’s Tire Shop, VIP looks forward to serving the people of Waterbury and other Connecticut residents, working with the current Joe’s crew to build on customer relationships that have been cultivated for decades. Like Joe’s, VIP puts customer service first, and we’re excited for even more New Englanders to find that out for themselves. Connecticut, here we come!”

VIP also operates in its home state of Maine, as well as New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts.
