Discount Tire has opened 21 stores this year, bringing its total count to 1,206 locations.
This year, the company has added locations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Among those were six stores in the Chicago, Ill., market that were added via the acquisition of Suburban Tire Auto Repair Centers, a deal that closed in March.
During 2023, Discount Tire added 65 stores, including 25 locations acquired through the purchase of Dunn Tire Corp.’s retail arm, which marked the company's entry into the New York and Pennsylvania markets.
“The acquisitions of Dunn Tire and Suburban Tire Auto Repair Centers expanded the company’s footprint in the Northeast and Chicago areas, while expanding the organization’s full-service repair offerings,” a spokesperson for Discount Tire recently told MTD.
Both Dunn Tire and Suburban Tire offer auto service and continue to operate under their existing names.
Discount Tire also opened a store in Grand Forks, N.D., last year.
