VIP Tires & Service announced it will hold a customer appreciation event at its recently acquired Joe’s Tire Shop location in Waterbury, Conn., on July 10.
The acquisition of Joe’s Tire Shop in March 2024 brings VIP Tires' total store count to 70 locations.
VIP Tires invested about $200,000 in remodeling and improving the facility. The location has five service bays and a 6,000-square-foot space, with new equipment and lifts.
The community is invited to see the new renovations on July 10 at 11 a.m.
“Joe’s Tire Shop has been providing topnotch tire service and building relationships with Waterbury residents for decades,” says Rich Dibeneditto, the former owner of Joe’s Tire who now serves as the store's manager.
“When it came time to sell, I went with VIP because of its family feel and dedication to excellence. With VIP’s focus on customer service and community support, I knew our customers would be in good hands.
"I am happy to see all the investments VIP has already put into the business and look forward to many more decades of serving Waterbury and the surrounding communities.”
The store currently has eight employees, with five hired since VIP Tires' acquisition and two more being hired.
VIP Tires, which is based in Auburn, Maine, has also been working to ensure technicians at the store are Tire Industry Association-certified, now with eight certifications held by technicians at the Waterbury location.
