Tyres International, a Mahansaria Tyres Private Ltd. (MTPL) subsidiary, will now operate under the trade name Ascenso Tires North America. Since its acquisition by MTPL in 2021, Tyres International has been the exclusive importer of the Ascenso brand to the United States and Canada.
"Moving to (the) Ascenso Tires North America trade name reflects the company’s growth in the last two years since the tie-up with Mahansaria Tyres Private Ltd. and its strategic plan and investment to become a leading tire manufacturer," say MTPL officials.
MTPL acquired Tyres International "to efficiently bring Ascenso’s innovative and extensive product range of tires to their customers in North America," including tires for the agriculture, industrial, construction, earthmover, material handling and forestry segments.
The company has added more than 350 tire sizes to its product portfolio during the last year, "offering a wide range of tires across the applications and customizing solutions to suit specific customer requirements or applications."
Yogesh Mahansaria, founder of MTPL, says that since the acquisition, "synergies between both companies (have) worked well and (have) helped both companies to grow rapidly.
"While MTPL has benefited from the distribution expertise and U.S. tire market presence of Tyres International, on the other hand, the Tyres International customers have (received) an opportunity and assurance as they could get direct quality products supplied from the manufacturer.
"For the last two years, Ascenso has been one of the fastest-growing tire brands across the world. This will certainly help the newly announced Ascenso Tires North America to further strengthen Tyres International's position in the U.S. and Canadian markets."
“We are excited to continue our partnership with Mahansaria Tyres Private Ltd. and the Mahansaria family,” says Marty Bezbatchenko, president of Ascenso Tires North America, which offers factory-direct container, less-than-load and trailer load shipments to customers.
“We are two family-owned businesses, combining our 35-plus years of experience to create an effective distribution network and increase success for our customers.”
Tyres International also will continue its long-standing relationship with ZC Rubber and will continue to distribute Westlake commercial truck, bus and trailer tires, as well as Sunrise steel truck, aluminum truck and trailer wheels.
The company opened its third distribution center this past fall.
