Kumho Tire U.S.A. has introduced the Ecsta 4X II all-season UHP tire and the Crugen Premium KL33 all-season CUV and SUV tire.
The Ecsta 4X II is available in 53 sizes with a rim range from 15 to 20 inches and V and W speed ratings. The tire is backed with a 40,000-mile warranty and road hazard protection.
The company says the Ecsta 4X II features precise handling, ride comfort, and quiet all-season capabilities. The tire is optimized by Kumho’s proprietary Escot Casing Technology, which designed to improve steering response and increase tread life.
With excellent wet and dry traction and enhanced snow performance, drivers will experience increased highway, wet and snow handling and mileage performance compared to the tire’s predecessor, the Ecsta 4X.
Drivers can also expect a smoother, quieter and comfortable ride enhanced by a unique noise-canceling tread that reduces road harmonics and vibration on a UHP all-season tire, according to Kumho.
The Crugen Premium KL33 is available in 29 sizes with rim ranges from 16 to 22 inches and speed ratings of T, H,and V. Featuring a 60,000-mile limited warranty, it is the ideal upgrade for crossovers and light SUVs and a natural choice for luxury vehicles, according to Kumho.
The company says the touring, all-season performance tire offers longer tread life, excellent cold traction and reduced rolling resistance from an advanced rubber compound engineered to run cooler and stay flexible at lower temperatures.
The Crugen Premium KL33 has wide rounded edges and circumferential grooves to provide taut, responsive steering and exceptional highway feel on wet and snowy pavement. The tire also features an optimized tread pattern engineered to reduce road noise and vibrations for a quiet, comfortable ride, according to Kumho.
The Ecsta 4X II and Crugen Premium KL33 are two of the six tires which Kumho plans to launch in 2015. For more on the new products and their timelines for launch, read MTD’s coverage of the company’s annual dealer meeting: “New tires and promotions boost Kumho brand.”
