Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC is observing the 10th anniversary its Aiken County, S.C., plant.
As part of the celebration, the factory recently made a $5,000 donation to the Aiken (S.C.) Technical College.
In 2006, the plant built its 50 millionth tire, the same year BFNT announced it would invest $17 million in the facility.
The Aiken plant has the capacity to produce 20,000 passenger and 6,000 light truck tires per day, according to Modern Tire Dealer research.
