Coats Co. has expanded its accessory line with new wheel balancer tooling kits designed to help technicians achieve precise balancing for light and medium-duty truck wheels.
The Coats LCM Truck Tooling Kit brings next-level precision to balancing half-ton medium-duty truck wheels on Coats 40 mm balancers.
This kit includes a Coats exclusive feature with an innovative pin plate system featuring multiple pin head types.
It also includes three collets, a backspacer, a flange plate and an assortment of pins for secure mounting ensuring a precise fit across various wheel types. It also features a built-in QR code that provides technicians with instant access to hub diameter and bolt circle specifications.
“This is a problem that tire installers and general service centers have been dealing with for years,” says Kyle Harris, senior product manager at Coats.
“Traditional truck cones have never provided accurate centering, making balancing difficult and time-consuming. With these new kits from Coats, shops can now balance these wheels with professional-level precision.”
Each collet in the kit features a QR code for instant access to the application guide, eliminating any guesswork.
Coats also launched its Three Piece Pin Plate System for precision balancing on 4-lug and 8-lug wheels with swappable pin heads.
The Three Piece Pin Plate System is made from composite material to protect delicate wheels while ensuring precise centering.
Coats offers a version of this new kit specifically designed for larger 221 mm hub bore centers, common in medium-duty trucks and delivery vehicles.
