Edwin Goudswaard will lead Continental AG's research and development activities.
He succeeds Dr. Boris Mergell, who took over as head of the user experience business area at Continental Automotive earlier this month.
“Edwin Goudswaard has acquired an incredible depth and breadth of experience in a range of different positions worldwide," says Christian Kötz, head of the Continental's tires group sector and member of the company's executive board.
Goudswaard started with Continental in 2006.
He most recently was responsible for Continental's global research and development activities in the company's passenger tire replacement business.
