TireHub has opened its first regional distribution center, a 360,000-square-foot facility near Allentown, Pa.
The new warehouse will service TireHub's logistics centers in the northeastern United States.
“Our regional distribution center streamlines and enhances our service levels in the northeast and is intended to give our customers more breadth and depth of premium Goodyear and Bridgestone products,” says TireHub CEO Ted Becker.
TireHub is a joint venture between Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and Bridgestone Americas Inc.
“Customers in the region are already experiencing improved service levels. We will continue to explore ways to give them the support they need to run their business more efficiently.”
TireHub now has 78 distribution centers in the U.S.
In the last eighteen months, it has added or relocated 13 centers, including recent relocations in Birmingham, Ala.; Oakland, Calif.; and Minneapolis, Minn.
TireHub plans to open additional centers in the Boston, Mass., and St. Louis, Mo., markets.
