Bridgestone Americas Inc. has raised more than $2.4 million for the United Way of Greater Nashville.
Bridgestone “also built upon its financial donations by implementing a robust employee volunteering program that totaled 500 volunteer hours across the region,” according to Bridgestone officials.
Since 2015, Bridgestone has raised more than $15 million for the United Way to support essential services and programs across Middle Tennessee.
“This year, teammates at the company’s Americas headquarters in Nashville and a grant from the Bridgestone Americas Trust Fund contributed more than $850,000. Additionally, Bridgestone and its partners raised nearly $1.6 million at the company’s seventh annual Bridgestone United Way Charitable Golf Tournament, held October 15 at Hermitage Golf Club in Nashville. The tournament remains the largest single fundraising event for United Way nationwide.”
