Sentury Plant Not Impacted by Earthquake

March 31, 2025

Sentury Tire USA says its Rayong, Thailand, plant was not impacted by the devastating Thailand and Myanmar earthquake.

However, the company is offering its Morocco plant “as an alternative” source of supply “until the situation in Thailand normalizes."

In a statement issued on March 31, Sentury Tire USA says it “stands in solidarity with the people of Myanmar and Thailand following the devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck the region. Our hearts are heavy as we witness the destruction and hardship caused by this disaster.

While we are grateful that our factory in Rayong, Thailand, remains unaffected, we recognize the profound impact this event has had on surrounding communities. The ongoing recovery efforts may temporarily affect shipments from Thailand due to port closures and logistical challenges. We appreciate your understanding as the region navigates the path to recovery."

"In addition, if you have any concerns about potential delays from our Thailand factory or your other suppliers, we would like to present our Morocco factory as an alternative until the situation in Thailand normalizes,” said Sentury Tire USA officials, adding that the company’s distribution centers in the United States “are also fully stocked to assist with any shortfall that you might experience. As the situation evolves, we will continue to monitor developments and provide updates.”

"Our thoughts are with all those who have been impacted by this tragedy," says Maxwell Wee, executive vice president of Sentury Tire USA. "The resilience and strength of the people of Thailand inspire us and we remain committed to supporting our partners, employees and the wider community during this difficult time."
