The California Tire Dealers Association (CTDA) will hold its San Diego area meeting on March 18 at Marie Callender’s in San Diego, Calif.
The event will feature Roy Littlefield IV, vice president of government affairs at the Tire Industry Association (TIA), to talk about the right to repair issue on a national level, what TIA and CTDA are doing to advocate for the issue and what tire dealers can do to protect their rights.
Also in attendance will be a staff member from the office of Congressman Juan Vargas, providing the opportunity for the “California tire industry to explain the importance of protecting the rights of tire dealers to perform repairs,” according to TIA officials.
The dinner meeting is sponsored by Federated Insurance and Title Sponsor Great Western Tire. Featured sponsors include 1-800EveryRim OEM Wheels, American Factory Wheel, BankCard USA and Scott Highfill.
Attendance is free for tire retailers and CTDA annual sponsors.
"The right to repair is arguably the most important public policy issue affecting automotive repair shops nationally,” says Marc Connerly, executive director of CTDA.
“And this is a golden opportunity for tire dealers to gain a better understanding of the issue, while at the same time sharing our perspective and our position with a member of Congress.”
The meeting begins with networking at 5:30, followed by dinner and presentations at 6:30.
