Tread Lightly! has announced it is awarding BFGoodrich Tires Outstanding Trails Program grants for the fifth year.
Since 2021, Tread Lightly! has awarded grants on behalf of Michelin North America’s brand of BFGoodrich Tires. The Outstanding Trails Program provides opportunities for off-road clubs and enthusiasts across the United States to apply for funding for public land restoration projects and responsible recreation education to promote conservation of motorized trails.
“We are proud to continue this important program and grateful for our continued partnership with BFGoodrich Tires,” says Doug Bigelow, Tread Lightly! executive director.
“Industry support like this is critical for protecting motorized trails, and we invite enthusiasts to apply for funds to protect the local trails and outdoor spaces they love.”
Since 2006, BFGoodrich has awarded more than $300,000 in grants to support organizations dedicated to the conservation of off-road trails. Past grant recipients have installed educational signage, improved infrastructure and repaired local trails.
“At BFGoodrich, we are passionate about outdoor adventures, so naturally we feel strongly about protecting recreational areas for future generations,” says Andrew Besancon, senior director of recreational brands for BFGoodrich.
“We're proud that 2025 marks the fifth year of Outstanding Trails grants with Tread Lightly! Together, we've made a significant impact on trails nationwide, and we’re eager to continue this important work.”
To apply for an Outstanding Trails grant, applicants are required to be active, supporting members of Tread Lightly!. Applications will be accepted from May through November 2025. To learn more and apply for funding, visit treadlightly.org/bfgoutstandingtrails.
