Executive Vice President Shoshi Arakawa will take over as chairman, CEO and president of Bridgestone Corp. effective March 30, 2006.
Arakawa will replace Shigeo Watanabe, who will continue to serve Bridgestone as a board member and advisor.
Bridgestone Corp. will finalize the succession at its general shareholders' meeting.
