To stretch or not to stretch tires, that is the question resulting from a recent blog on this Web site.
Modern Tire Dealer's Managing Editor Lori Mavrigian brought the practice of tire stretching to light, and blog readers have responded to it (see the blog Lori's Listening, "'Tire stretching' and survival of the fittest").
It may be illegal to do it in your state, points out one reader. Don't take the chance, say others. However, not all feel that way.
