Rick Huseman, driver of the No. 36 Monster Energy/Traxxas/Toyota /Toyo Tires Tundra, scored his third victory out of the first four races in The Off-Road Racing Championship Series (TORC) during Round 4 this Saturday at Perris Auto Speedway in Perris, California. Driving on 35X12.50R17 Toyo Open Country M/T-R tires, Huseman is now in a commanding lead of the Pro 4X4 Truck class championship.
“My Toyo Tires worked awesome,” said Huseman. “I drove the wheels off my truck… I didn’t try to be easy on them. Other trucks had chunks coming out of their tires, but I didn’t, my Toyo’s helped me win.”
The LeDuc family once again scored multiple podiums, this time at Perris. Kyle LeDuc finished in third place in the Pro 4X4 Truck class on Friday night (Round 3) with his No. 99 Rockstar/Makita/Ford Trucks/Toyo Tires F-150 truck. Also focused on the championship in the Pro Light Truck class, Kyle LeDuc scored two second place finishes during the weekend to make it three in a row with his No. 99 Rockstar/Makita/Ford Trucks/Toyo Tires Ford Ranger.
Brother Todd LeDuc finished in third during Friday night’s Pro 2WD Truck race with his No. 3 Rockstar/Makita/Ford Trucks/Toyo Tires F-150 to keep him in the points hunt for the 2009 championship.
“Rick Huseman has been on fire this year, and we congratulate him for putting Toyo Tires in the winner’s circle once again,” said Stan Chen, manager of events and motorsports, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “Our congratulations also go out to Team LeDuc for keeping Toyo Tires on the podium in the pro truck classes.”
