Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has rolled out its new Mastercraft Avenger ZHP ultra-high performance tire.
The tire "utilizes a racing-inspired tread compound that was benchmarked against (Cooper's) race division technology," say Cooper officials.
The Avenger ZHP contains a variety of features, including:
* optimized polymer matrix compounding for enhanced wet traction;
* a shoulder tread block that is divided into two harmonically mated segments to minimize noise;
* a rubber rim protector that extends beyond the rim flange.
* and a spiral nylon overwrap that fights centrifugal force under high-speed conditions to maintain stability across the tire's complete speed range.
