Continental AG will return to the German stock market's blue chip index, DAX, on Sept. 22 after a seven-year absence.
"We are very pleased to resume our position in DAX," says Continental AG Chairman Manfred Wennemer.
"It will help draw more attention to our business success throughout the international financial community."
Continental AG officials credit the stock's rebound to financial improvements achieved during the first six months of 2003.
This marks the first time a corporation has pulled off a DAX comeback.
