Continental Tire North America Inc. has named
Andreas Gerstenberger vice president sales and marketing, PLT Replacement Tire Business Unit.
Gerstenberger will be responsible for all independent tire dealer, car dealer and mass retail sales, as well as all the marketing and product development functions for PLT Replacement Tire, the company says.
In addition to his new role, Gerstenberger will continue to be responsible for the PLT OE Key Account Management NAFTA on an interim basis.
Andreas has been with Continental since 1994 and has held various positions within the organization.
Mike Barker has accepted the position of director, business development for the NAFTA Truck Tire Business Unit in the Global Commercial Tire Division.
He will be returning to the Commercial Tire Division where he has extensive sales and marketing experience, says the company. His new responsibilities will include the fleet and OE sales channels, as well as developing the emerging strategic account segment of the commercial tire business.
Both changes will become effective on September 8. Gerstenberger and Barker will be located in Charlotte, N.C.
