The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has announced the dates and locations for its Winter 2004 Commercial Tire Service (CTS) Truck Tire Training Tour.
These back-to-back, one-day technician training and certification seminars kick off in Philadelphia, Pa., on January 27-28 and conclude on the West Coast near Seattle, Wash., on February 26-27. (For complete dates and locations, see the www.mtdealer.com calendar or go to www.tireindustry.org.)
The cost is $250 for each technician who needs a copy of the TIA CTS Manual and $175 for each technician who already has a copy. Every partipating technician must have a copy in order to take the Certification Exam.
"This is an excellent opportunity for any size company to get their commercial tire service technicians trained and certified," says Larry Morgan, TIA president.
Since its inception in 1997, TIA's CTS program has educated more than 14,000 technicians and instructors throughout North America. Participation ensures that employee training meets and exceeds the minimun requirements specified by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Regulation 29 CFR 1910.177.
