Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has appointed Mike Wilps manager, tire evaluation.
Wilps, who starts his new job today, previously managed Goodyear's San Angelo, Texas, proving grounds.
He replaces Chuck McEvoy, who is retiring from the company after 37 years of service.
Wilps joined Goodyear in 1985 and has held a variety of positions with the Akron, Ohio-based tiremaker.
Randy Brayer has replaced Wilps at the San Angelo facility.
Brayer, who will report to his predecessor, most recently served as team leader, advanced replacement development, for Goodyear.
He's been with the company since 1982.
