One of the largest independent tire dealerships in the United States is getting bigger. Tire Discounters, which now has 132 retail tire stores, is planning five new locations for the Knoxville, Tenn., Huntsville, Ala., and Indianapolis, Ind., markets.
The Cincinnati, Ohio-based company’s most recent store – a location in Knoxville – opened on May 30.
The dealership has added 25 stores within the last two years “in neighborhoods that don’t have easy access to an existing Tire Discounters location,” says Anna Wood, managing director.
Tire Discounters is the sixth largest independent tire store chain in the U.S., according to the Modern Tire Dealer 100, an updated version of which will appear in the July edition of MTD. (Click here to view the 2019 MTD 100.)
Tire Discounters carries the following tire brands: Michelin, BFGoodrich, Pirelli, Yokohama, GT Radial, Nexen, Cooper, Bridgestone, Continental, Toyo, Nankang, Milestar, Westlake, Kenda, General, Mastercraft, Thunderer, Calvary, Uniroyal, Venezia and Goodyear.
