What was your first job in the industry?

My first job in the industry was as a porter and parts delivery driver at a car dealership.

What attracted you to the industry?

Being a car enthusiast growing up led me to look for a job when I could learn more about cars.

What is the biggest challenge you have faced in your career?

Since taking over a managerial role I would say the hardest part is handling different personalities in the workforce to be able to work with anyone to accomplish our company goals.

Who has had the biggest influence on your career?

I would say Karl Becker the vice president at Atturo has been the biggest influence in my career. He gave me the opportunity to thrive in this role and I don't think I would be here is it wasn't for him. I'm grateful to have someone in a leadership role that is confident in his choices and has been a great example to follow.

What is your biggest accomplishment in the industry?

My biggest accomplishment has been being promoted to the warehouse manager for Atturo Tires. I'm coming up on my seventh anniversary here and I never saw this role as an opportunity for me but I learned that with hard work and dedication anything is possible.

Tell us about your current job and responsibilities. How do you spend your workday?

I am the warehouse manager for Atturo Tires’ headquarters in Waukegan, Ill. My typical day consists of overseeing the loading and unloading of full truckloads. We also have daily parcel order and local deliveries to fulfill. I'm also part the safety team and oversee facility maintenance for the building.

What's been the biggest surprise of your current job?

My biggest surprise is trying to manage the ever-changing workforce and the struggle many companies face these days. I do my best to lead by example and provide an environment for employees to want to stay.

Tell us about your family.

I grew up in a large family, I have one brother and four sisters. My parents worked hard to provide us with a good education and strong work ethic which I will always appreciate. I have been married to my wife Brittney for four years now and we have four dogs that are spoiled rotten.

If you could wake up tomorrow with one new skill, what would you choose?

I would love to be able to hit my driver 300-plus yards.

In a single word, how would your friends describe you?

Loyal.

If you could switch careers tomorrow, what would you want to do, and why?

I would be Scottie Scheffler’s caddie. Being a caddie for the best golfer in world and being able to see courses across the world would be amazing.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be in law enforcement growing up. I still have great respect for those who put their life on the line every day to protect our rights and our people in this country.

How do you unwind after a stressful day?

The best way for me to unwind after a stressful day is being outside. I enjoy golfing and fishing because you can forget everything else and enjoy the moment.

What goal did you set for yourself this year? Are you on track to reach it?

I recently took up golf and my personal goal is to break 100 on 18 holes. I'm still new to the game and have much to learn but I am confident I will accomplish my goal very soon.

What do you expect to be doing 20 years from now?

I expect myself to be in a position where I am able to not only provide for my family but also have the freedom to enjoy life with my family.
