Continental Posted Gains During Third Quarter

Nov. 22, 2022

Continental AG posted a sales increase of 29.3% and an adjusted EBIT gain of 46.7% during the third quarter of 2022. The company's Tires group achieved a 21.8% increase in sales during the quarter.

Gains were achieved despite "the challenging economic environment with soaring costs for raw materials, semi-finished products, energy and logistics," according to Continental officials.

"In light of the challenging environment, we did well to achieve our third quarter forecast," says Continental CEO Nikolai Setzer.
