Yokohama Tire Corp. has released the Advan Neova AD09 ultra-high performance tire in 51 sizes, ranging from 15 inches to 20 inches in diameter.
The AD09 features “extreme grip for faster lap times, razor-sharp handling, superior wet performance and constant performance on the street and track,” according to Yokohama officials.
The AD09 replaces the ADVAN Neova AD08R.
“The AD09 is race-born and street-ready and harkens back to Yokohama’s UHP and motorsports heritage,” says Drew Dayton, senior product planning manager, Yokohama consumer tires.
“Its high-tech compound, casing and thread pattern combine the best of racing and science to deliver improved grip for unprecedented performance.”
Highlights of the AD09 include a new tread pattern that creates a better grip to road and track surfaces; an all-new casing construction featuring high turn-up ply that gives “precision in handling and fast-steering response;” chamfered grooves which improved wear resistance; and a high-silica compound for a better wet grip.
