New Toyo Plant Will Start Production Next Month

June 29, 2022

A new Toyo Tire Corp. consumer tire manufacturing plant in Europe that will help boost the company's United States supply is set to open in July.

Located in Serbia, the passenger and light truck tire plant is expected to provide "much-needed supply to the U.S. market" and will allow Toyo "to improve efficiency worldwide," Michael Graber, president and CEO of Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp., said in a recent MTD interview.

The facility will have a capacity of 2.5 million units annually.

Toyo also has continued to invest in its consumer tire plant in White, Ga., "with a focus on the North American market."

The company "is committed to improving fill rates, increasing supply and constantly improving our value" to its dealers, he said. "This will continue through 2022 and beyond."
