Kal Tire has acquired Ottawa, Ontario-based Frisby Tire. The deal includes five retail and commercial outlets, plus Frisby Tire's wholesale business.
Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Kal Tire's Total Tire Distributors subsidiary will run Frisby Tire's wholesale operations.
The acquisition gives Kal Tire more than 260 locations across Canada.

Having celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2020, Frisby Tire was considered to be the oldest, independently-owned tire dealer in Canada, according to Kal Tire officials.
“It’s always been so important to us that our customers are happy with their experience and we feel very fortunate to know that will only continue with Kal Tire’s culture of service-oriented values,” says Don Frisby, the third generation leader of his family's namesake dealership. “Some of our technicians have worked here their whole lives. We’ve built this legacy together and I know they’re all in the very best hands.”
Kal Tire officials say Ottawa-area drivers "will notice the newly branded Kal Tire signage in the coming weeks and can visit any location for new tires and wheels, changeovers and repairs, tire storage, purchase financing and more.
