Toyo Announces Proxes Sport A/S+ Tire

June 26, 2024

Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. announced its new Toyo Proxes Sport A/S+ ultra-high-performance (UHP) all-season tire for sports cars, CUVs and SUVs.

The new tire is an upgrade from its predecessor, the Proxes Sport A/S, with an improved tread compound to boost performance in wet conditions.

A new high-load capacity option will be available in select sizes for this tire to meet the needs of electric vehicles, hybrids and larger SUVs.

Additional features of the tire include an asymmetrical tread pattern featuring high, stiff outer ribs for cornering performance; higher sipe density inner ribs for improved wet and dry braking; UHP performance casing construction; and more.

“Building on the success of its predecessor, this new tire offers drivers the performance they expect from an ultra-high performance tire with the added benefit of all-season reliability,” says Kevin Arima, senior manager for consumer products at Toyo Tire U.S.A.

“Drivers seeking an exciting tire without compromising on tread life will appreciate the improvements in this model. Additionally, the wide range of sizes, including High-Load capacity options, accommodates the growing popularity of heavier vehicles, providing a significant advantage for both dealers and consumers.”

The new Proxes Sport A/S+ tire will be produced in 80 sizes with 17- to 22-inch wheel diameters and W, Y and (Y) speed ratings. Fitments include sports cars, SUVs and CUVs while carrying a 50,000-mile tread warranty and a 45-day/500-mile trial offer.

The first sizes of the tire will be released starting July 2024. Additional sizes, including the high-load sizes, are being released later in 2024 and early 2025.
