Opus IVS Rolls Out DrivePro 2 Plus

Nov. 8, 2024

Opus IVS, the intelligent vehicle support division of the Opus Group, has released its DrivePro 2 Plus.

According to Frank Dierlam, inside sales manager for Opus IVS, says that this is not just a diagnostic tool, but rather a diagnostic platform.

It allows tire dealers to use software that dealers may already have on the tools or original equipment (OE) software through the tool without having to get a laptop or other equipment.

“It truly makes it a one-stop shop between mobile services we have, our technical support and OE functionality,” says Dierlam.

The DrivePro 1 was released in 2018, and this new product is an upgrade of that.

“Over the years, what we have done is just constantly improve it to match what the industry wants or needs and take all of that and put it right into here,” says Dierlam.

The DrivePro 2 Plus has two software's loaded into it – the Autologic software which is the company’s European software and then AutoEnguinity software which is Asian and domestic software.

Our support services where we have remote programming. So, the technician just makes an online appointment, and an Opus IVS technician will remote into the tool and the original technician can walk away and let the Opus IVS technician complete the program for them.

“We have agreements with all original equipment manufacturers to use their software remotely and push it into the shop to do module reprogramming,” says Jim Fish, chief marketing officer for Opus IVS.

MyCarDAQ is a pass-through unit featured on the new tool that basically allows a technician to program the vehicle themselves.

“That’s where the OE part comes into it,” says Dierlam.

“You can access your own OE software by going into the MyCarDAQ feature and clicking on run and it opens up a virtual window and download the software yourself right onto the DrivePro 2 Plus. This tool is all about efficiency and functionality.”

Also featured on the tool is something called FarSight Mode, which provides the customers, for a fee, a virtual library of OE software already updated and service ready.

“So, all they have to do is open it up, put in their own subscriptions and start working – huge convenience and time-saving factory,” says Dierlam.

There is also an AI chat function on the tool where technicians can ask the AI chatbot a question and it will give technicians the next steps or strategies.

Opus IVS is currently taking orders for this product.
