VIP Tires & Service has opened its 74th store, a new location in Barre, Vt.
The company will celebrate the milestone with a grand opening event on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
This is the sixth location in Vermont for the Auburn, Maine-based dealership.
The new location will sell tires and offer a full range of automotive services. The store is managed by Nick Haskins and employs eight employees, with plans to increase that to 12.
Formerly a Volkswagen-Mazda new car dealership, the approximately 13,000-square-foot building in Barre has been renovated by VIP Tires & Service to include a remodeled customer lounge, an expanded shop with all new state-of-the-art equipment and the conversion of office spaces into a dedicated tire storage area. The shop is outfitted with eight service bays.
The grand opening and customer appreciation event being held on Nov. 19 will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will include live radio broadcasting, food from Taste VT catering, giveaways and ribbon cutting ceremony.
“We are really excited to be opening another VIP location to serve the great Vermont residents in the Barre-Montpelier region,” says Tim Winkeler, president and CEO of VIP Tires & Service.
“This has been a target area for us, and it’s a perfect complement to our existing Vermont locations, all providing great deals on tires and our full range of VIP automotive services. This also marks VIP’s 74th location across New England, so our customers can drive anywhere in the region and know that they can turn to VIP if their vehicle needs service. This new store also gives a few of our team members promotion opportunities, which is always great to see.”
VIP will be offering a buy three, get one free sale on all tires from Tuesday, Nov. 19, through Sunday, Nov. 24 at the Barre location.
