Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. has been recognized by Trade & Industry Development magazine for its planned investment in a 150,000-square-foot facility in Macon, Ga.
Kumho recently announced that construction of the facility has been suspended for one year.
When done, however, it will feature "state-of-the-art automation that will enable Kumho to meet domestic inventory obligations and provide an enormous boost to the local economy by creating local jobs and supporting community services," say company officials.
Trade & Industry Development's CiCi Award honors companies that are making corporate investments and are also investing in the communities where they operate.
