An Amherst, N.Y., man has received the inaugural Bridgestone Mark Messier Youth Award.
The youth hockey award includes a $5,000 grant from Bridgestone Americas.
The award was created "to reward people... whose leadership has enriched the lives of hundreds of young athletes," says Phil Pacsi, vice president, North American Consumer Tire Marketing, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC.
