China Manufacturers Alliance LLC (CMA) has added four salespeople to its Double Coin team in the U.S. and South America.
Adriaan van Niekerk was named regional fleet manager, West Region, U.S. He will be responsible for implementing Double Coin’s business strategy and growing the Double Coin brand among fleets.
"Adriaan brings a unique set of skills and a great deal of success into his new role as regional fleet manager at Double Coin,” said Walter Weller, senior vice president of CMA. “We are confident that Adriaan’s track record of building successful relationships with regional fleets and national accounts will help us grow Double Coin’s commercial truck tire business."
Prior to joining Double Coin, Adriaan was responsible for growing business with existing key regional fleets and national accounts and developing new business at Continental Tire the Americas LLC out of Austin, Texas. He also has worked for Darling & Hodgson, Mercedes-Benz Division of Daimler AG; and Truck Marketing Systems.
CMA also hired three regional sales managers.
1. Andres Ureña (left), regional sales manager, CMA de Mexico and CMA Huayi Central America. His role includes the sales and marketing of Double Coin and Duraturn radial truck tires, Double Coin OTR tires and Duraturn radial ST tires in the Mexican and Central American markets.
Ureña most recently was manager of business development for Technotel Inc., although he began his career in the tire industry with Bridgestone Corp., where he served as international operations manager.
2. Diego Solís (left), regional sales manager, CMA Huayi Central America. He is responsible for Double Coin,
Duraturn and Blue Star radial truck tires and OTR tires in Central America. He will report directly to Ureña.
Prior to joining Double Coin, Solis spent four years at Quirós and Co. as its new tires and retreads sales agent for Costa Rica. He managed key accounts in the TBR group and grew sales in the Costa Rican market.
Solis began his career with Steam Global Services as a customer service and technical support supervisor, managing 20 technical support agents.
3. Jorge Valdés (left), regional sales manager, CMA de Mexico. Valdés is responsible for the sales and marketing of Double Coin and Duraturn radial truck tires, Double Coin OTR tires and Duraturn radial ST tires in Mexico.
Prior to joining CMA, he served as sales manager for Ervin Lease MX S. de R.L. de C.V. During his time there, sales levels increased by more than 400%. He also spent 11 years with Cofremex S.A. de C.V., and 19 years with Bridgestone de México, S.A. de C.V.
CMA, which is based in Monrovia, Calif., is a subsidiary of Shanghai Huayi Group Corp. Ltd. Double Coin products include radial truck and bus tires (TBR) and radial off-the-road tires that enjoy OEM fitments at major transportation and construction equipment manufacturers in the Americas.
