More fitments for the Frontier MT and a new powersport tire for modified golf carts are highlighted in Duro Tire and Wheel Corp.’s booth at the 2019 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.
Duro introduced the Frontier MT tire in a limited number of sizes at last year’s SEMA Show. This year, the company has more fitments for the Frontier MT. Five fitments are available now for a wide range of rim sizes. Additional fitments are being developed, according to Chris Clinton, sales and marketing manager for Duro.
Duro is also featuring its new Frontier powersports tire for 14-inch rims at the SEMA Show.
Clinton says golf carts are not limited to golf courses. They are being used for recreational and community use, too, The new Frontier powersports tire is designed for modified golf carts.
“People are lifting golf carts, putting on larger tires, full stereo sets and light kits for cruising through their community or an RV park when on vacation. It’s a growing trend and there are a lot of companies focusing on accessories for golf carts.”
Street-legal versions of golf carts are called low-speed vehicles (LSVs) and neighborhood electric vehicles (NEVs).
Duro tires are manufactured in Taiwan and are not affected by the new Chinese tariffs, notes Clinton.
