The standoff between Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. and United Steelworkers Local 207L is now in month number three. The local union represents the consumer tire plant in Findlay, Ohio.
Negotiations, however, have started up again. Hey, if you aren't talking, there's little chance for reconcilation.
There has been some picketing since what is officially called a lockout began, and there conceivably could be more if a deal between the parties is not reached in the near future.
Although there is no word yet on any progress, Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich addressed potential picketing in his latest blog. To read what he has to say, click on "Cooper and the union choose negotiation over retaliation."
