Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. displayed three new passenger tires at last week's Specialty Equipment Market Association Show: the Raptis VR1, Raptis HR1 and the Roadtour 655.
The Raptis VR1 is available in six sizes, ranging from 195/60R15 to 225/50R17, all with a V speed rating. The Raptis HR1 is available in three sizes: 205/65R15, 215/60R16 and 225/60R16, all H-rated. Both tires contain five ribs, four channel grooves, a dual-width center rib for enhanced stability, an exterior groove for increased traction and other features, according to Hercules officials.
The Roadtour is available in more than 20 sizes, ranging from 14 inches to 16 inches. (The tire has seven 16-inch configurations alone.) It's available in H, T and V speed ratings. Features include a computer-optimized tread design, a touring tread, Hercules' LRR (Low Rolling Resistance) Tread Compounding, a nylon overwrap for extra stability, and other features.
The Roadtour 655 is the most fuel efficient tire in Hercules' passenger tire line-up, according to company officials.
