Michelin Advantage truck program grows by 60%

Aug. 25, 2011

The Michelin Advantage Program, which offers members consistent pricing and services, is growing. Michelin Americas Truck Tires says membership is up 60% for the first half of 2011 compared to 2010.

Part of the growth is due to Michelin’s opening the program to owner-operators in March, 2011. Fleets and owner-operators can sign-up at no cost for the Michelin Advantage Program this week at the Great American Trucking Show (GATS) or anytime at www.michelintruck.com.

“Trucking professionals across the industry are realizing the benefits of having a direct relationship with Michelin,” says Fritz Mueller, small-fleet business segment manager at Michelin Americas Truck Tires. “The Michelin Advantage Program is available to all fleets under 100 trucks, including the owner-operator ‘one-truck fleet,’ to gain an advantage and have the ability to control their costs, save time, protect their equipment investment and improve their safety.”

Program members have access to Michelin ONCall emergency road service with no dispatch fee. Members also receive access to the Michelin Commercial Service Network, which provides service from network dealers.
