Truck tire torque chart from Myers Tire Supply

Sept. 16, 2011

The Commercial Wheel Torque Specification Chart from Myers Tire Supply is now available free. The 17-inch by 23-inch chart covers torque recommendations for hub and stud piloted wheels and demountable rims.

Also included are oiling recommendations and service suggestions. The chart is designed to be hung prominently in the service area to remind technicians of proper wheel torque processes. The processes help prevent premature tread wear or even potential wheel-off situations.

The chart also outlines the Tire Industry Association’s R.I.S.T. program; REMOVE debris from mating surfaces; INSPECT components; SNUG lug nuts in a star pattern; and TORQUE to specification.
